Local craftsman, David McIntire, of Yorktown, Virginia has been perfecting his art of woodworking for over 55 years. Some of these unique pieces are crafted from local botanicals here in Virginia; others are from faraway, exotic lands such as Africa, Central and South America.

David mostly uses the age old technique of turning wood on a lathe. This ancient art form has origins dating back to the Egyptian Empire of 1300 BC.
