How to Join Blue Skies Gallery

The Blue Skies Gallery Jury Committee juries potential members of each month, January — October.

Call and speak with the manager on duty to schedule an appointment to present your work to our jury. We ask that you provide an artist statement and submission of 5 — 8 pieces, with prices, in a single medium. This should include your strongest work and be representative of what you hope to display at Blue Skies, including matting and framing, with hangers when appropriate (no sawtooth hangers).

Submission in multiple media (other than mixed media) will constitute separate submissions; each must be juried separately on its own merits.

After calling and confirming with the manager, bring your work with your completed application form to the gallery NO LATER THAN five working days before the day of jury appointment. The jury panel will set your work up in the classroom for review prior to your appointment.

Jury process. At your designated appointment time, be prepared to make a brief (5 minute) presentation to the jury panel focusing on your process, materials, and anything else that will help us fully appreciate your work. Please be prepared take your work home with you following your appointment. You will be contacted by mail within one week of the meeting.

Fee structure. We have several tiers of fee structures available to suit your needs. These will be explained by the jury panel. In addition to our website, your work may be included in any of our marketing venues.
