Join Us - Artist Inquiries
The Blue Skies Gallery Jury Committee juries potential members of each month, January – October. The application process is as
follows:

Call and speak with the manager on duty, to set an appointment to present
your work to the Jury Committee. This needs to be done at least by Thursday
prior to jury committee meeting. Available times are from approximately 1:30 pm to
3:00 pm on the second Tuesday of the month.

Prepare a submission of 5 – 8 pieces of your work in a single medium
plus and artist statement. This
submission should include your strongest work and be representative of what
you hope to display at Blue Skies, including matting and framing, with hangers
when appropriate (no sawtooth hangers). Please include prices you would ask at this gallery.

Submission in multiple media (other than mixed media) will constitute
separate submissions; each must be juried separately on its own merits.

After calling and confirming with the manager,
bring your work with the completed application form to the gallery NO
LATER THAN the Thursday before your Tuesday jury appointment. The Committee will
set your work up in the classroom for review prior to the jury meeting.

At your designated appointment time on the
second Tuesday, be prepared to
make a brief (5 minute) presentation to the Jury Committee focusing on your
process, materials, and anything else that will help us full appreciate your
work. Please take your work home with you following your appointment, as
storage space is very limited.
You will be contacted by mail with the results of the
jury committee within one week
following your presentation.
