Kazuko Fuller is a native
of Yokohama, Japan where, from a young age, her mother encouraged her to cultivate
her artistic ability. Fuller had a great love for beads and wire and the unique
creations she could make.
She attended the Yokohama Design School and, upon completion, started working
as a textile designer for a manufacturer in Yokohama. During that time she married
her husband, James and relocated to Beaufort, South Carolina. She remained in
Beaufort for 15 years during which time she studied English and prepared to
attend college.
Fuller graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design, earning a Bachelor
of Fine Arts degree with a major in Graphic Design. After graduation, she devoted
her full time to creating quality, original designs. Her husbands employment
transferred them to Virginia in 1999 where they currently reside in Chesapeake,
and where Fuller maintains a full-time studio.
